Yeah Lomas, New Zealand is a pioneer of everything cool. Those useless yanks are always monitoring you lot to try and keep up.

May have been posted before on the thread, but this is the one challenge you should watch.
Yes it's silly at the start, but keep watching as from 2mins in you find out exactly what this disease is and how it affects people.

Your mum
If it wasn't a bit cunty (ie appealing to the narcissism of social media users) it wouldn't have been so successful.

Re: Ice Bucket Challenge
We were doing this in NZ ages ago....bit different though.

Stand in a bucket of ice water, tip a bucket of ice water over yourself, then tip the bucket of ice water you were standing in over yourself as well.

Then, neck a bottle or can of beer.

There was a bit of outcry about how dangerous it was, how you could shock your heart or body etc

Of course, now the Americans are doing it, it's somehow safe, exciting and great for charity.

Re: Ice Bucket Challenge
So yeah it's a big cunty, but to put to put in perspective the ALSA collected $1.3m all of last year, $24m so far this year, unheard of growth were a charity is concerned.

I like Twatter and Boatbook but think this is a bit stupid. Not sure where that puts me...

Social media is not the problem in and of itself, the issues is that it's used by a large proportion of idiots.

Re: Ice Bucket Challenge
They should get White Dee to do it with a bucket of loom bands and post it on twitter. Then this god-awful 21st century will truly resemble a snake biting its own tail.

I want to go back to the 1980s. The internet can come with me, but only if it behaves.
